Greater Boston Council on Alcoholism, Inc.

Greater Boston Council on Alcoholism, a charitable foundation, invites proposals in three major areas of interest: education, prevention, and research on alcohol and other drug addiction.

GBCoA's mission is to assist in increasing public understanding of these addictions, their nature, treatment and prevention.  GBCoA supports, encourages, and endorses grantees who have creative, innovative programs which meet expressed need, that encompass groups of people, and can measure the results of their programs.

The Foundation awards grants to non-profits in Greater Boston (within #128)
ranging from $2,500 to $7,500 for a wide variety of programs: education and prevention for children, adolescents and adults in high risk populations; research in addiction and prevention; advocacy for the rights of those harmed by the effects of harmful use of alcohol and other drugs; efforts to eliminate stigma; and training individuals to serve in the field of addictions and prevention. GBCoA makes donations where the funding will make a meaningful contribution to the accomplishment of the goals of the organization.

There is a three year limit for consecutive receipt of funding for any given organization.  There is a donation cap of $7,500.
GBCoA requires that
all proposals and addendum
be submitted on-line.

The next deadline for submission is December 31, 2020

The mythical Phoenix builds a nest
that ignites: both the nest and the bird
burn and are reduced to ashes.
From the ashes a new young phoenix
arises reborn to live again.
